  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • molasses - 1 c
  • ginger - 1 tsp

How to make molasses cookies:

Mix shortening, sugar, egg and molasses. Sift dry ingredients and mix into shortening mixture. Chill dough. Roll into 1-inch balls. Dip into sugar and cinnamon. Place 3-inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake just until set, but not hard, about 10 t
