Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- shortening - 3/4 c
- molasses - 1/4 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- each: cloves, ginger and salt - 1/2 tsp
How to make molasses cookies:
Melt all ingredients in a saucepan. Refrigerate for 1/2 hour after mixed. Roll dough into walnut shape, roll in sugar, place on a cookie sheet and bake for 7 to 10 minutes at 350°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Hand Formed cookies.
