- vanilla - 3 tsp
- pkg - 1/2 oz
- milk - 1/3 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour
- cocoa - 1/3 c
- shortening - 1 c
- nuts - 1 c
- sticks oleo - 2 item
- Add eggs and beat by hand
How to make mississippi mud cake:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat by hand. Sift flour, cocoa and salt. Add nuts and vanilla. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 12-inch pan. Bake at 300° for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven; pour on marshmallows and return to 350° oven for 10 minutes.Frosting:1 lb. powdered sugar1/3 c. cocoa1 tsp. vanilla1/3 c. milk1 c. nuts2 sticks oleo Mix well.
