  • small Milky Way bars or 3 large - 6 item
  • sticks butter or oleo - 2 item
  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • flour plain
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • soda
  • buttermilk
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • Test for doneness
  • milk - 1 tsp
  • Milky Way bars - 3 item
  • sifted confectioners sugar - 1 c

How to make milky way cake:

Combine all ingredients and bake in tube pan, that has been greased and floured, for one hour at 325°. (Test for doneness.)Icing:1 stick oleo1 tsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla3 Milky Way bars sugar1 c. sifted confectioners sugar Combine oleo, milk, vanilla, Milky Way bars and sugar in top of double boiler. Heat, stirring occasionally until completely melted. Add 1 cup confectioners sugar. Mix well and pour over cake while still warm.
