Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • oil - 1/4 c
  • baking soda - 3/4 tsp
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
  • can cream-style corn - 1 item
  • yellow corn meal - 1 c
  • ground beef, fried and drained - 1 lb
  • can chopped jalapeno peppers to taste - 1/2 item

How to make mexican cornbread:

Mix all ingredients together and pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. I use Pam. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Great hot or cold.
