Mexican cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- oil - 1/4 c
- baking soda - 3/4 tsp
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- can cream-style corn - 1 item
- yellow corn meal - 1 c
- ground beef, fried and drained - 1 lb
- can chopped jalapeno peppers to taste - 1/2 item
How to make mexican cornbread:
Mix all ingredients together and pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. I use Pam. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Great hot or cold.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
