  • eggs - 2 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1 Tbsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Crisco oil - 1/2 c
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
  • corn - 1 c
  • corn meal - 1 c
  • onion and 1 bell pepper diced - 1 item
  • hot peppers more for hotter - 3 item
  • browned, hot sausage - 1 lb

How to make mexican cornbread:

Mix ingredients together, except sausage. Pour half of batter into 8 x 10-inch pan. Spread with browned sausage and then the rest of batter. Bake at 400° for 30 to 40 minutes.
