Mexican cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- Crisco oil - 1/2 c
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- corn - 1 c
- corn meal - 1 c
- onion and 1 bell pepper diced - 1 item
- hot peppers more for hotter - 3 item
- browned, hot sausage - 1 lb
How to make mexican cornbread:
Mix ingredients together, except sausage. Pour half of batter into 8 x 10-inch pan. Spread with browned sausage and then the rest of batter. Bake at 400° for 30 to 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
