Mexican corn bread
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- ground beef - 1/2 lb
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- can cream-style corn - 1 oz
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
- yellow corn meal self-rising - 1 c
How to make mexican corn bread:
Mix corn meal, milk, eggs and corn together and set aside. Brown ground beef and drain. Pour 1/2 of corn meal batter into greased 15 x 9-inch baking dish. Put in layers next the cheese, meat, onion and pepper. Pour on remaining batter. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes. Makes 4 servings.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
