Mexican casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- diced green pepper - 1/2 item
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- medium onion - 1 item
- hamburger - 1 lb
- can cream-style corn - 1 item
- corn tortillas - 1 doz
- small can tomato sauce - 1 item
- large can stewed tomatoes - 1 item
- block Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 item
How to make mexican casserole:
Brown hamburger, green pepper and onion together. Drain off grease. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, creamed corn, salt, pepper and chili powder. Cook on low heat for 15 minutes.Layer hamburger mixture in 2-quart casserole dish. Tear tortillas in strips, then cheese and layer in dish. Continue to layer, ending with cheese on top. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes, until all cheese is melted.
