Ingredients/Components
- paprika - 1 2
- sage - 3 tsp
- ground beef - 2 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- Italian seasoning - 2 Tbsp
- potatoes - 6 item
- small onions - 4 item
- large can tomatoes - 1 item
- magarine/butter - 1/4 c
How to make meat and potato casserole:
Brown meat in skillet with sage, salt and pepper. Add Italian seasoning just before meat is completely brown. Meanwhile, cut onions and potatoes into thin slices. In large casserole arrange a layer of potatoes, onions and meat. Repeat until there are 6 layers in total. Pour tomatoes on top and dot with margarine/butter. Sprinkle paprika across top and bake covered at 350° for 1 hour. Remove cover and bake an additional 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
