Ingredients/Components

  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • olive oil - 1/3 c
  • finely chopped onion - 3 Tbsp
  • finely chopped parsley - 3 Tbsp
  • whole tomatoes - 1 can
  • cloves garlic, peeled and sliced - 2 item

How to make marinara sauce:

In large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic and saute for 2 to 3 minutes. Add parsley and onion. Slowly add tomatoes. Stir to break up tomatoes. Add bay leaf, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer on low about 15 minutes. Serve over pasta dishes or with rice.
