Macaroni and cheese
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- cream - 1/2 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- Tabasco - 1/2 tsp
- grated Cheddar - 3/4 lb
- macaroni elbows - 1/2 lb
How to make macaroni and cheese:
Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Add flour, cook 3 minutes to remove raw flour taste. Heat milk in another pan. Add milk to flour mixture and stir well, until almost boiling. Turn down and simmer a few minutes. Add pepper and Tabasco. Stir in cream.Cook macaroni and drain. Mix 3/4 of cheese into simmering sauce. Add macaroni, pour into baking pan. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake 20 to 30 minutes at 350°.
