Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • water - 1 qt
  • eggs, well beaten - 2 item
  • salt per qt - 1 tsp
  • Cheddar cheese, cut in 1/2-inch squares - 2 c

How to make macaroni and cheese:

Cook macaroni in boiling salted water for 9 minutes. Water should cover macaroni. Do not drain off all water. Leave a little. Place alternate layers of macaroni and cheese in casserole dish. Beat eggs and milk well. Pour over macaroni and cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes. Should be moist inside and golden brown outside. Serves 6 to 8.
