Ingredients/Components

vanilla - 2 tsp
butter - 8 Tbsp
confectioners sugar
large eggs - 3 item
whole milk - 1 c
butter, cut in pieces - 8 Tbsp
strawberries or raspberries
milk if needed - 1 item
white chocolate, finely chopped - 6 oz
plain white cake mix - 1 item

How to make love cake:

Berry Buttercream Frosting:3/4 c. strawberries or raspberries8 Tbsp. butter3 3/4 c. confectioners sugar milk (if needed) Preheat oven to 350°. Grease 9-inch round cake pan and 9-inch square pan and dust with flour.

Over low heat, melt butter and white chocolate, 3 to 4 minutes. Blend cake mix, milk, eggs, vanilla and melted mixture in large mixing bowl, about 3 minutes. Divide the batter between the two pans. Bake until light brown and springs back when lightly pressed with finger, 27 to 30 minutes. Cool on wire racks for 10 minutes; remove cake from pans, then cool out of the pans for 30 minutes.

Frosting: Puree strawberries or raspberries for about 1/2 cup puree (I think strawberries work better and you could use frozen ones). Blend butter on low speed about 30 seconds until fluffy. Add the confectioners sugar and puree; blend for about 1 minute on low speed and then higher speed for another minute until light and fluffy. If frosting is too stiff, add up to 1 tablespoon milk; if too thin, add more confectioners sugar.

Place square cake so that one point faces you. Cut the round cake in half and place the halves on adjoining top sides of the square to form a heart shape. Spread frosting on tops and sides (it's a large, one layer cake). Garnish with fruit or white chocolate curls, if you want.

Place the cake, uncovered, in fridge for 20 minutes until frosting sets. Cover in waxed paper and store in fridge for 4 days or freeze in foil or 6 months. Enjoy!
