Ingredients/Components
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- lemon juice to taste - 1 item
- cloves garlic - 2 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- onion - 1 item
- cumin seed - 1 tsp
- spinach, chopped - 1 lb
- turmeric - 1 tsp
- coriander - 1 tsp
- lentils 1 c - 1/2 lb
How to make lentils and spinach:
Boil the lentils in 1 pint (2 cups) water until soft (about 25 minutes). Fry sliced onion and chopped garlic; add spices. Stir about 2 minutes. Add cooked lentils and washed and coarsely chopped spinach. Stir well. Simmer 10 to 15 minutes. Add salt and lemon juice.Recipe categories: Spinach, Main dish, Curries.
