Ingredients/Components
- cold water - 6 c
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- dried lentils - 1 lb
- ham bone - 1 item
- small carrots, grated - 2 item
- stalks celery, sliced thinly - 2 item
How to make lentil soup:
Place lentils in cold water with ham bone and simmer 1 hour. Add vegetables to soup and simmer 1 hour more. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Soups & stews, Pork.
