Lemon pound cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• eggs - 4 item
• milk - 1 c
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• shortening - 1 c
• self-rising flour - 1/2 c
• plain flour
• lemon flavoring - 1 Tbsp
• lemon juice - 2 Tbsp

How to make lemon pound cake:

Cream together the shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix flours and salt. Add this to the sugar mixture alternately with milk. Add flavoring and lemon juice; mix well. Pour into tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
