Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- corn syrup
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- plain flour - 2 c
- margarine - 1/2 lb
- hot water - 1/2 c
- lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
- box powdered sugar - 1/2 item
How to make lemon pound cake:
Glaze:1/4 c. corn syrup1/2 box powdered sugar1/2 c. hot water1 tsp. lemon flavoring Mix sugar, margarine and shortening. Add eggs, milk, flour and flavorings, one at a time until each ingredient is well blended. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.Glaze: Mix together glaze ingredients until smooth. Pour hot glaze on warm cake.
