Lemon cake
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3/4 c
- lemon extract - 1 tsp
- whole eggs - 4 item
- box lemon cake mix - 1 item
- liquid shortening - 2/3 c
- lemon Jell-O pudding 2 regular size will do
- Glaze while hot
- juice of 2 lemons ReaLemon will do
How to make lemon cake:
Bake in a tube pan at 350° for 50 minutes. Glaze while hot.Glaze:1 c. powdered sugar juice of 2 lemons (ReaLemon will do) Perforate cake to allow glaze to penetrate for better taste. Dribble glaze over cake with a spoon.Note: I sift the cake mix and beat the eggs before adding to the mix.
Also, I usually use two cups of powdered sugar for the glaze.
