  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • flour - 3 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • lemon extract - 1/2 tsp
  • sticks butter, softened - 2 item

How to make pound cake:

Cream sugar, butter and shortening together; add eggs, one at a time, until blended. Add vanilla and lemon extracts; blend. Add milk and flour alternately until blended. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 300° to 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
