- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 6 Tbsp
- powdered sugar
- nuts optional - 1/2 c
- juice of 1 lemon
- grated rind of 1 lemon
How to make lemon bread:
Glaze:1/3 c. powdered sugar juice of 1 lemon Bake at 325° for 1 hour. Remove from oven while still hot in the pan. Pour blended powdered sugar and lemon juice over bread. Allow to cool in pan.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Oven.
