Lazy daisy cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- large eggs - 3 item
- walnuts optional - 1/2 c
- coconuts optional - 1/2 c
How to make lazy daisy cake:
Beat eggs until thick. Add sugar gradually, beating constantly. Add vanilla. Sift together flour and baking powder; add to mixture and mix well. Heat to boiling point milk and butter, add all at once to mixture. Beat well. Do not add any more flour to batter, it is very thin. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes. When cake is done, remove from oven and spread with blended mixture of melted butter, brown sugar and cream. (Optional: Walnuts and/or coconut.) Place under broiler until topping bubbles up.
