Lazy daisy cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1/3 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- large eggs - 3 item
- cream - 2 Tbsp
- chopped walnuts or coconut optional - 1/2 c
How to make lazy daisy cake:
Beat eggs until thick. Add sugar gradually, beating constantly. Add vanilla. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Add to first mixture; mix well. Heat to boiling point milk and 1 tablespoon butter. Add at once to mixture. Beat well. Do not add any more flour, the batter is very thin. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes. When cake is done, remove from oven and spread with blended mixture of melted butter, brown sugar and cream.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Canadian.
