Layered lettuce salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- mayonnaise - 2 c
- celery, diced - 1 c
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 4 oz
- head lettuce - 1 item
- green peppers, diced - 1/2 c
- eggs, hard-cooked and sliced - 4 item
- sweet onion optional - 1 item
- slices bacon, fried and dried - 8 item
How to make layered lettuce salad:
Tear cleansed, crispy lettuce into bite size pieces and place in a 9 x 12-inch greased dish. Layer remaining ingredients in order given; add sugar in mayonnaise and spread over top as you would icing on a cake. Top with grated cheese and refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours or overnight.
