Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • water - 2 c
  • salad oil - 2 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1 item
  • cottage cheese - 3/4 lb
  • chopped parsley - 1 tsp
  • cans tomato paste - 2 oz
  • medium onion, minced - 1 item
  • lasagna - 8 oz
  • clove garlic, chopped - 1 item
  • sliced Mozzarella cheese - 3/4 lb
  • ground beef or Italian sausage - 1 lb

How to make lasagna:

In a large heavy pan, brown meat in oil with onion, garlic and parsley. Add tomato paste, 2 cups of water, salt and pepper. Simmer for 1 hour.

Mix together eggs and cottage cheese. In a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan, spread about 1/2 cup sauce, then alternate layers of lasagna (uncooked), sauce, cottage cheese and egg mixture and Mozzarella cheese until baking pan is filled. Top with sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes or until heated through.
