Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 2 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- cottage cheese - 3/4 lb
- grated Parmesan - 1 item
- parsley - 1 tsp
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- Mozzarella cheese - 3/4 lb
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- medium onion, minced - 1 item
- lasagna - 1 lb
- clove garlic, chopped - 1 item
How to make lasagna:
Brown ground beef in oil with onion, garlic and parsley. Add tomato paste, 2 cups water, salt and pepper. Simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Add lasagna to 6 quarts of salted, boiling water, stirring often to prevent sticking together. Cook for 15 minutes or until tender. Drain.Mix eggs and cottage cheese. Arrange lasagna in baking dish in layers, alternating with layers of sauce, Mozzarella and cottage cheese until lasagna is all used. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan. Bake in moderate oven at 375° for about 20 minutes.
