  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 4 c
  • water - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • raisins - 2 c
  • allspice - 1/4 tsp

How to make jumbo raisin cookies:

Add water to raisins and boil for 5 minutes. Cool. Cream shortening and add sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add vanilla and cooled raisin mixture. Add nuts. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Add to raisin mixture and blend. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in 375° oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
