Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 1 c
- butter - 1 c
- coconut - 1 c
- self-rising flour - 3 c
- raisins - 1 c
- English walnuts - 1 lb
- each: cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves - 1 tsp
- peeled oranges, grated - 2 item
How to make japanese fruit cake:
Icing:1 pt. milk2 c. sugar1 c. coconut2 peeled oranges, grated Mix first five ingredients. Pour into two cake pans, saving enough batter for another. Add next 2 ingredients, plus spices in middle layer.Icing: Mix milk and sugar and let boil. Add coconut. Let boil again. Add oranges. Bake at 350° until done.
