Italian heritage casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- paprika - 1 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- oregano - 1 tsp
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- potatoes, peeled and quartered - 6 item
- green pepper, cut in lengthwise strips - 1 item
- red pepper, cut in lengthwise strips - 1 item
- boneless chicken, cut in chunks - 3 lb
- sweet or mild sausage, cut in 1-inch chunks - 1 lb
How to make italian heritage casserole:
Spray a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with vegetable oil. Arrange potatoes and peppers in the bottom of the dish.Combine the seasonings. Sprinkle a third of the seasoning mixture over the vegetables. Layer chicken pieces and sausage over the vegetables. Sprinkle remaining seasoning mixture on top.
Cover tightly with foil; bake at 425° for 30 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 375°; bake 30 to 40 minutes more. Yields 6 servings.
