Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 10 oz
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 3 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • small onions - 6 item
  • small potatoes - 5 item
  • carrots, cut in 2-inch lengths - 4 item
  • lamb shoulder, cut in 1-inch cubes - 2 lb
  • parsnips, cut in 2-inch lengths - 2 item

How to make irish stew:

Flour meat and brown in a small amount of hot fat. Add water, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours or until meat is almost tender. Stir frequently. Add carrots, parsnips, onions and potatoes. Cook about 20 minutes or until done. Add peas and parsley. Cook about 5 minutes and serve hot.
