Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 10 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 3 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- parsley - 2 Tbsp
- small onions - 6 item
- small potatoes - 5 item
- carrots, cut in 2-inch lengths - 4 item
- lamb shoulder, cut in 1-inch cubes - 2 lb
- parsnips, cut in 2-inch lengths - 2 item
How to make irish stew:
Flour meat and brown in a small amount of hot fat. Add water, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours or until meat is almost tender. Stir frequently. Add carrots, parsnips, onions and potatoes. Cook about 20 minutes or until done. Add peas and parsley. Cook about 5 minutes and serve hot.Recipe categories: Low sodium, Main dish, Stew.
