Ingredients/Components
- shortening, melted - 3/4 c
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- brown sugar, firmly packed - 2 c
- self-rising flour
- vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make icebox cookies:
Melt shortening and cool. Combine eggs and sugar and beat. Add shortening and blend, then add flour and vanilla and blend. Shape into 3 rolls, 2 inches in diameter. Wrap each in wax paper. Store in refrigerator overnight. Cut in thin slices with sharp knife and place on baking sheets, greased. Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
