Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- heavy cream - 1 Tbsp
- whipping cream - 1/2 pt
- egg, separated - 1 item
- vanilla wafers, crushed
- medium can drained, crushed pineapple - 1 item
How to make icebox cake:
Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolk, 1 tablespoon heavy cream, pineapple, chopped nuts and vanilla. Add beaten egg white; set aside.Cover 1/4 inch of bottom of an 8-inch pan with crushed vanilla wafers. Pour in mixture and cover with remaining vanilla wafer crumbs. Refrigerate for 12 to 14 hours. Serves 8.
