  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • baking powder - 1 Tbsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • chopped onion - 6 Tbsp
  • corn meal - 2 c

How to make hush puppies:

Combine dry ingredients. Mix in onion. Beat egg with milk; stir in. Drop by small spoonfuls into deep, hot fat. Puppies will float when done. Drain on paper towels.
