Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- yellow cornmeal - 1 c
- green onions - 1 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- can cream-style corn - 1 item
- jalapeno peppers optional - 1 item
- milk to make stiff batter if needed - 1 item
How to make hush puppies:
Mix all ingredients. Stir well. Do not stir anymore until ready to drop into deep fryer. Drop by teaspoons into deep fryer. Cook until brown on both sides. Remove and drain. Serve.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Southern u.s..
