  • buttermilk - 1/2 1
  • baking powder - 1 Tbsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • grated onion - 1/2 c
  • corn meal - 2 c

How to make hush puppies:

Sift meal, flour and salt together. Add baking powder, eggs and onion. Add milk, then drop from teaspoon into medium hot 275° fat; fry until golden brown.
