Ingredients/Components

- vanilla
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- oil - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- margarine - 1/2 c
- bananas - 2 c
- crushed pineapple - 1 (8
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- Add eggs and oil, stirring until moistened; do not beat
How to make hummingbird cake:
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Add eggs and oil, stirring until moistened; do not beat. Stir in vanilla, pineapple, 1 cup pecans and bananas. Spoon batter into 3 greased 9-inch round pans. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool in pans 10 minutes and remove. When completely cool, spread frosting between layers, top and sides.
