- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- coconut - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- cream - 2 Tbsp
- Beat in sugar slowly
How to make hot milk cake:
Beat eggs until thick and lemon color. Beat in sugar slowly. Fold in sifted dry ingredients. Add all at once. Put butter and milk in saucepan and bring to a simmering point. Pour over egg mixture and mix well. Turn into greased 7-inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Topping for Hot Milk Cake:1/2 c. brown sugar3 Tbsp. butter2 Tbsp. cream1 c. coconut Bring sugar, butter and cream to simmer. Add coconut and spread on cake.
