Ingredients/Components
- flour
- sugar - 1 c
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- butter - 5 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- Make 3 holes in dry ingredients
- milk - 1/4 c
How to make wacky cake:
Sift dry ingredients together into cake pan (9 x 9-inch ungreased) that cake is to be baked in. Make 3 holes in dry ingredients. Into the first hole, pour vanilla, in second hole, put vinegar and in third hole, put the melted butter. Over all, pour cold water and mix well. Clean sides and spoon often. Stir until smooth. Clean down sides and bake at 350° until done with clean toothpick test. Do not remove from pan.One Minute Chocolate Fudge Icing For Wacky Cake:1 c. sugar1/2 c. cocoa1/4 c. butter1/4 c. milk Mix ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil only 1 minute. Remove from heat. Cool a few minutes; beat a little if you wish for crusty icing. Don't beat if you want caramel consistency.
