Hot german potato salad

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 2
• salt
• flour - 6 Tbsp
• water - 3/4 c
• vinegar - 1/3 c
• chopped onion - 3/4 c
• pepper to taste - 1 item
• medium potatoes - 6 item
• celery seed - 1/2 tsp
• slices bacon - 6 item

How to make hot german potato salad:

Boil potatoes in jackets, then peel and slice thinly. Fry bacon in skillet and drain. Saute onion in bacon fat until brown. Add dry ingredients, stirring until smooth and bubbly. Add water and vinegar. Bring to boil, stirring. Boil for 1 minute. Stir in potatoes and bacon (crumbled in small bits). Remove from heat. Cover and let stand until ready to serve. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
