Vegetable salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- oil - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- can whole kernel corn, drained - 1 item
- diced celery - 1 c
- small jar pimentos - 1 item
- white vinegar - 3/4 c
- green bell pepper - 1 c
- can English peas, drained - 1 item
- can French-style green beans, drained - 1 item
- diced red onion - 1 c
How to make vegetable salad:
In a saucepan, mix the sugar, white vinegar, oil, salt and pepper together. Bring to a boil, stirring for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Cool completely and pour over vegetables in a large bowl. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours or overnight for best flavor. Will keep several weeks, covered, in refrigerator.Recipe categories: Salads, Vegan, Vegetables.
