Hot fudge sundae cake
Ingredients/Components
- plain flour - 1 c
- granulated sugar - 3/4 c
- cocoa - 2 Tbsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salad oil - 2 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts optional - 1 c
- brown sugar, packed - 1 c
- hot tap water
- favorite ice cream - 1 item
How to make hot fudge sundae cake:
Heat oven to 350°. In ungreased square pan, 9 x 9 x 2-inches, stir together flour, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, the baking powder and salt. Mix in milk, oil and vanilla with fork until smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread evenly in pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa. Pour hot water over batter. Bake 40 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes; spoon into dessert dishes or cut into squares. Invert each square onto dessert plate.
