Hot fudge sundae cake
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1 c
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cocoa - 2 Tbsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- hottest tap water
- favorite ice cream - 1 item
- salad oil - 2 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- brown sugar, packed - 1 c
How to make hot fudge sundae cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. In ungreased square 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan, stir together flour, sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix in milk, oil and vanilla with fork until smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread evenly in pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa. Pour hot water over batter. Bake 40 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes. Spoon into dessert dishes or cut into squares. Invert each square onto dessert plate. Top with ice cream and spoon sauce over each serving. Makes 9 servings.Recipe categories: Desserts, Frozen desserts, Cakes.
