Hot cross buns
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- currants - 1/2 c
- hot roll mix - 1 pkg
- egg white, beaten slightly - 1 item
How to make hot cross buns:
Prepare roll mix according to directions, adding the sugar, cinnamon and currants. Let dough rise until double. Roll and knead on floured board. Let rise again. Make into rolls. Put on greased cookie sheets and cut cross in top of each with kitchen shears. Brush with beaten egg white. Let rise. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 400°.
