Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • cinnamon - 3 tsp
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • milk - 4 Tbsp
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • oil - 2/3 c
  • powdered sugar - 2 c
  • raisins optional - 1/2 c
  • box yellow cake mix - 1 item
  • pecans optional - 1/2 c

How to make honey bun cake:

Mix cake mix, oil, sugar and eggs with sour cream. Pour half of the mixture into greased baking pan. Make filling by mixing brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread half of the filling over batter. Pour in remaining batter and then spread with remaining filling mixture. Swirl with knife blade. Bake at 300° for 40 to 45 minutes. Mix powdered sugar, vanilla and milk for glaze. Pour over warm cake.
