  • cold water - 1 gal
  • vinegar - 1 c
  • cabbage - 1 item
  • canning salt - 1/2 c

How to make homemade sauerkraut:

Mix first 3 ingredients and let stand for 24 hours. Chop cabbage, clean jars and lids real hot. Pack cabbage in jars. Pour warm solution over cabbage and seal.
