  • margarine - 1/3 c
  • green food coloring - 1 tsp
  • red cinnamon candies - 1 item
  • corn flakes cereal - 6 c
  • marshmallows about 40 - 1 pkg

How to make holiday wreaths:

Melt margarine in a large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and cook, stirring constantly, until marshmallows melt and mixture is syrupy. Remove from heat. Stir in food coloring. Add corn flakes cereal. Stir until well coated.

Portion warm mixture using 1/4 cup dry measure. Using buttered fingers, quickly shape into individual wreaths. Dot with red cinnamon candies. Yield: 16 wreaths.

Variation: Press warm mixture into buttered 5 1/2 cup ring mold or shape into ring on serving plate. Remove from mold and dot with red candies. Slice to serve.

Variation 2: Use orange food coloring, and shape into pumpkins for Halloween. Use raisins for eyes.
