Heath bar torte
Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs
- egg whites - 5 item
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- whipping cream - 1 c
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- butter, melted - 1/2 c
- plus 2 Tbsp - 1 c
- Heath candy bars, crushed - 6 item
How to make heath bar torte:
Heat oven to 250°. In medium bowl, combine crumbs, walnuts and butter. Spread in greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan. In large mixer bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually beat in sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over crumbs. Bake 1 hour; cool.In small bowl, whip cream. Fold in 5 crushed candy bars and spread over meringue layer. Sprinkle with remaining candy pieces. Refrigerate overnight.
Tip: Chill candy bars and crush in wrappers.
