Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- ginger - 1/4 tsp
- beaten egg - 1 item
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chicken broth - 1 c
- ground turkey - 1 lb
- soft bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- pineapple juice - 3/4 c
- diced green peppers - 1 c
- clove garlic, pressed - 1 item
- Brown in 2 tablespoons oil
- slices pineapple, cut up - 6 item
How to make hawaiian meatballs:
Mix all ingredients and shape in balls. Brown in 2 tablespoons oil.Sauce:1/2 c. chicken broth2 Tbsp. soy sauce2 Tbsp. cornstarch2 Tbsp. butter, melted1 c. chicken broth1 c. diced green peppers6 slices pineapple, cut up1/2 c. vinegar3/4 c. pineapple juice1/2 c. brown sugar1/2 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. ginger Make thickening for sauce from 1/2 cup chicken broth, soy sauce and cornstarch. Melt butter and add 1 cup chicken broth, green peppers and pineapple. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add vinegar, pineapple juice, brown sugar, salt and ginger.
