Hawaiian drop cookies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- almond extract - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 2/3 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- shredded coconut - 1/2 c
- walnuts - 3/4 c
- maraschino cherries, chopped - 3/4 c
- crushed pineapple, well drained - 3/4 c
How to make hawaiian drop cookies:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Cream the shortening, sugar and extracts. Beat in egg until mixture is fluffy. Blend in flour, fruit and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls. Bake at 325° for 20 minutes.I call these my Christmas cookies.
