Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- can whole beets - 1 item
How to make harvard beets:
Cut beets in slices or cubes. Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add vinegar and water; boil for 5 minutes. Add beets to hot sauce and let stand at least 30 minutes. Just before serving, bring to a boil and add butter.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
