Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch
- water - 1/4 c
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- cooked beets, sliced - 2 c
How to make harvard beets:
Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add vinegar and water; boil 5 minutes. Add beets and let stand over low heat, 30 minutes. Just before serving, bring to boiling point and add butter. Serves 6.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
